Today’s card using the ‘Celebrate Today’ Stamp Set has lovely, fresh blue and white ~ perfect for a fella, albeit perhaps a younger fella!
The card features a balloon but also has lots of stars, which was inspired by one of the stamps in the set.

Base card : 11 x 4 1/4 Marina Mist card ~ scored at 5 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White Card
Ink colors ~ Pool Party and Marina Mist
This stamp set comes with matching Framelits which cut out the balloon so it saves on the ‘fussy cutting’. I used a small length of 1/8 silver ribbon from beneath the balloon then tucked the raw edge under the white layer and fixed it with a little sticky tape.
Layer 1 was punched down one side with the ‘Confetti Stars’ Border punch and the portion to the left was run thru the Big Shot with the Lucky Stars Embossing folder.
The balloon was stamped in Pool Party ink, the stamp set contains a stamp with little stars that layers over the balloon, I used Marina Mist for this and because the stamp set is Photopolymer it is an absolute snap to line everything up.
To give the card some dimension I popped the balloon up on a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The stars on the balloon were dabbed with a little 2-way glue pen and then scattered with some Dazzling Diamonds glitter.(although it doesn’t show too well on this photo)
The ‘birthday’ greeting was cut out with the Washi Label punch and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
