Today is the eve of Thanksgiving here in the USA. Until I came to the States just over 15 years ago it was not a holiday I was familiar with, but over the years I have learned the meaning of the day and what it represents.
Falling in the autumn also means using the lovely rich tones that I love so much. Many years ago my mother and I had our colors ‘analysed’ she was deemed to be a ‘Green Autumn’ and I was a ‘Golden Autumn’ ~ so I have used golden autumn colors in my card today.
Base Card : 11 x 4 1/4 Crushed Curry card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1 : 4 x 4 Soft Suede Card with about a 1/4 torn from one side
Layer 2: 3 1/4 x 3 Petals and Paisleys Speciality Designer Series Paper
Ink Colors: Soft Suede
The greeting and design on the inside of the card and envelope are from the Petals and Posies Stamp set. The large leaf was stamped on Mint Macaron card using the Vintage Leaves stamp set before using the Leaflets Framelits Dies to cut it and the other leaf using Copper Foil Sheets.
