Today is Thanksgiving here in the US, and while it is not a holiday that we recognized before coming to live in this country, we have embraced the sentiment behind the day. It is traditional to think about the things you are thankful for today and there is much to be thankful for – not least the friendships we have made since coming to the US and those I have made thru my lovely ladies who come to my classes and workshops.
Today’s card is not a typical Thanksgiving card but it does say exactly what I feel………….
Card base: 11 x 4 1/2 Pink Pirouette Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Chocolate Chip Card, run thru the Big Shot with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder
Ink : Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and Berry Bliss
The laurel wreath, banner and flowers are all cut using the Lovely Laurel Thinlets, The stamp set is called ‘Lovely Friends’ which is perfect for my theme to day. The laurels were cut in Lemon Lime Twist card and adhered directly onto the Chocolate Chip layer, the banner and flowers were popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals, a final flourish of pearls to finish off.
