Today I am thrilled to be taking part in the Ink & Share blog hop again. You will have arrived from Deb Naylor’s post. This month’s theme is Masculine ~ I always find it so hard to create for the fellas – so I am looking forward to seeing what the other contributors to this hop are going to share so I can get some more inspiration.
Today I have used the Rooted in Nature stamp set with the coordinating Nature’s Roots Framelit Dies and taken on the challenge to make a never-ending card – there are lots of videos out there on this fold BUT they are all square and since here in the US we have to pay additional postage for a square card I have found a way to make this fold so that the card size is a standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 and will fit in a regular envelope!
Card base: 2 pieces of 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Sahara Sand Card –
- First piece scored @ 1 3/8 from each edge on the LONG Side.
- Second piece scored @ 1 1/16 from each side on the SHORT side
Yes………… I know that cutting and scoring in 1/8’s and 1/16’s can be a bit fiddly but with the Stampin’ Trimmer it is very easy!
DSP:
- 4 pieces 2 x 1 1/4 Nature’s Poem DSP (same pattern)
- 6 pieces 2 5/8 x 2 Nature’s Poem DSP ~ choose different patterns and cut 2 of each one to get total of 6 pieces
- 1 piece 2 1/2 x 1 7/8 Very Vanilla Card ~ this is for writing your message.
Ink Colors: Tranquil Tide and Sahara Sand
Here’s what to do with all the pieces:
This is the view inside the first fold with the space to write your greeting,

I have kept the decoration to a minimum as most of the fellas in my family are not much into ‘fuss’ but you could just do as much embellishment as you can fit into the space – one thing to be aware of though is to make sure nothing extends over the folds otherwise it will get damaged when you start the folding!
Thank you for stopping by – I hope you like today’s card – please let me know in a comment ~ by using that little box at the end of this post.
The wonderful thing about a blog hop is that you get to see projects made by a host of talented papercrafters ~ so go ahead and hit the ‘NEXT’ button below and see what they have to share 🙂
