2024 Flip Over Desk Calendar ~ May

For the last 4 – 5 years I have designed and enjoyed making my flip over desk calendar for the ladies who come to my classes.  As I have done for the last few years I am going to be sharing one at the start of each month. This was designed for a stamp camp in early December 2023, we had such fun making them and my ladies have made me promise to do another for 2026 ……….. already!

Like last year, I recognize not everyone is into making 3D items so have created a card for each month, using elements from the calendar for that month. .

A Little Vintage Going On!

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I do love the vintage technique (shabby chic) for my cards – it takes a little time but is satisfying to do and the final finish is so worth the effort. When I saw the Sale-a-bration exclusive free stamp set, Detailed Dogwood, I just knew it would be perfect for this technique, especially as it has a fine collection of eclectic images along with a beautiful dogwood spray. It also gave me a chance to use a few techniques as well.

New Mini Catalog ~ sneak peak :-)

I hope you had a good Christmas, and now it is behind us we have the New Year to look forward to. Come January 4th we will have a lovely new mini catalog released with super duper products for Valentine, Easter, Mothers Day and Fathers Day, along with lots of other themes.

Today’s card gives you a preview of one of the new stamp set and punch bundles ~ you knew I would go for the punches first…… they are almost always my favorite. It will also be the start of Sale-a-bration and I will be sharing more about that a little nearer the time so watch this space 🙂

Sometimes I focus so much on the detail on my cards that my greeting can kinda get a little lost! Th Kindest Expressions Stamp set has 4 really great large greetings that can be used as a focal point. I paired it with the Petal Park Stamp set which is all images without any words – perfect combination in my book! I also used this card to show a very quick and easy technique using Vellum Card.

I have a ‘go to’ layout I like to use occasionally, particularly when I have a little creative block ~ I find once I have my basic pieces cut the rest will flow from that.

Today’s card uses that layout and you will probably recognize it from previous posts. I have combined the Petal Park Stamp Set with the coordinating punch with the Celebrating You Stamp set for my greeting along with one of my favorite subtle color combinations to show the same layout for an anniversary card and one for Easter, there is also a video tutorial to follow along with 🙂
