We still have a couple of months to go before Christmas Day but some things we can get ready ahead of time and some gift tags would be one of those.

I have a selection of tags today that would make a really thoughtful gift in the cutest little box, and features the Be Merry Designer Series Paper. Continue reading

Christmas in July Blog Hop

Welcome to the Christmas in July Blog Hop – a collection of ideas from Stampin’ UP! demonstrators all over the globe showcasing  the brand new and fantastic ‘Carols of Christmas’ bundle which has a stamp set with the same name and the ‘Card Front Builder Thinlets Dies. You will have come from Betty Bickford ~ I just hope my card is up to the same standard.

Each of us has been asked to design a card using this bundle and other products from the current 2017 – 2018 annual catalog.

When I saw the bundle for the first time it literally screamed GOLD heat embossing to me so that was my starting point, I chose very traditional colors of Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla to compliment the gold.

Lip Balm Holder Tutorial ~ Stampin’ Up! Products

We are coming up to the holiday season and gift exchanges.  I like to have a few small, decorated items on hand so I can hand out to folks to show how I appreciate them ~ it could be my hairdresser, the lady who does my nails, the mail lady …. oh just about everyone.

Today I am sharing a Lip Balm holder with a video to show some of the details, if you have folks in your lives, teachers, co-workers, crossing guard, maybe you would consider making something for them to show your appreciation.

Glittery Frosted Medallions ~ Stampin’ Up! Products

The 2016 Holiday Catalog from Stampin” Up! has a couple of products tucked away on page 7 – glittery embossing powder in Real Red and Emerald Envy – just perfect Christmas colors.

I have said before and will probably say again ~ I love heat embossing ~ it just has to be one of my most favorite techniques, so I paired the embossing powders with the perfectly named Frosted Medallions stamp set and once I had out all the tools I just played away with card to see the different effects.

EOS Hand lotion meets Fry Box!!!!!

I love to make 3D items, especially ones to put little gifts into.  I was in one of the large local stores a couple of months ago and came across the handbag/purse size EOS Hand lotions.  It is such a lovely shape and perfect for a gift.

I was not quite sure what I would do with it but I knew that I wanted to play with card and adhesive until something came about! Continue reading

Merry Christmas………………..

I just want to extend a heartfelt wish to all my readers, customers and friends for a very Merry Christmas.  I really appreciate the trust you put in me and the time you spend coming to classes or reading my blog or giving me feedback on my ideas for future papercrafting projects.

As many of you know I hold several Christmas card classes during the autumn and you have come and made cards along side of me – I think I designed about 14 different Christmas cards this year for all my classes.  So when it comes to sending a card to each of my lovely ladies, I can hardly send one that they have already seen.

So here is my card for this year:

Christmas Banner #2

The other day I shared one of my banners – it was in traditional red and green with tones of glimmer and shine.

The second banner I made this year is in more contemporary Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Whisper White, this one is a lot smaller than the red/green one and made a perfect addition to the Christmas tree in my study ~ since I spend a lot of my time in the study I like to have a tree in there as well!
