Continue readingA few months ago, one of the ladies who comes to my in-person classes asked about making cards using Quilt Blocks – I am always up for a challenge and love it when someone requests a technique or a fun fold. I made and shared the Log Cabin block in my You Tube live and had such fun I made two more a while later on another You Tube live. Check out the Pinwheel and Shoefly blocks below.
If you are unable to get to my in-person classes I have an on-line card class to go each month. You can check out the details for September’s class here
Continue readingI am always looking for inspiration and today’s card was inspired by my Stampin ‘ friend, Jeannie Nielsen in one of her recent ‘facebook lives’, the idea of this mini ‘one sheet wonder’ appealed to me straight away and I used it for my customer thank you cards last month, (I have added a link to Jeannie’s page below)
Continue readingThings are looking up ‘eyewise’ so I am hoping to get back to blogging and sharing my projects with you on a more regular basis – I thank you for your patience while I worked thru a really trying time for me 🙂
I like techniques – using stamps and ink in different ways shows the flexibility of what on the surface appears to be simple things, today I have taken Blending Brushes and Stampin Spritzers to create a great background and show the magic of water – check out the video to see what I mean! 🙂
Continue readingOnce again I enjoyed designing and making my flip over calendar for 2023, with the help of my friend, Elly – while she was visiting from the UK in October. As I have done for the last few years I am going to be sharing one at the start of each month. This was designed for a stamp camp in early December 2022, we had such fun making them and my ladies have made me promise to do another for 2024
I am changing things a little for this year, I recognise not everyone is into making 3D items so have created a card for each month, using elements from the calendar for that month. .
So today I share, September Dragon Flies

You will have either arrived from Deb’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME . This month our theme is SUMMER ~ and boy have we had a doozy of a summer here in North Texas!
Continue readingI do love a fun fold card – I know I have said it many times before – but they are exactly that – fun to make. I usually try to do a fun fold in each of my card classes because my ladies love them – today’s card was part of my May card class and features the Irresistible Blooms Stamp set and coordinating Dies, decorative paper and Frosted Dots
Continue readingThe Dainty Delight Stamp Set is exactly that – dainty! It has some delicate floral images as well as some really useful greetings which is just perfect for my card today. I have chosen to use Fresh Freesia for my card and ink as it too is very fresh and dainty.
Continue readingHello everyone, I need to apologize for my absence in the last couple of weeks, I have missed sharing with you but it has been very hard for me to see my computer screen since I experienced a detached retina at the end of July. It has now been repaired but it is like opening your eyes underwater – all bleary and exceedingly frustrating – however I can close that eye to type for a while – so I shall share what I can until my sight returns to normal!
My card features one of the new stamp sets that will be in the Holiday 2023 Sept – December Mini catalog which will be released on Sept 6th. As you know being a demonstrator gives me the chance to get my hands on ‘new stuff’ before the official release.
