You are probably aware that when a new SU annual catalog is launched we get 5 new ‘in-colors’ that are with us for two years. This years colors are rich, earthy tones and today’s card features two of them.

I showcased this new stamp set and coordinating dies ~ Timeless Arrangement ~ a few days ago, I knew then I would l be using a lots as it has some pretty floral images and a boatload of greetings in lovely fonts – my kinda stamp set!!!

July 4th card using Elegant Borders Dies

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Now we are in June my thoughts are turning to cards to celebrate July 4th ~ Independance Day here in the US. I have taken a slightly different approach for today’s card using some slightly muted Red, White and Blue and using the Elegant Border Dies to create the ‘stripes’. I think this would make a great graduation card ~ simply swap out the red and blue for the school colors!

Introducing Pecan Pie and the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I like to introduce new colors to you and to pair them with colors you might already have in your stash. Today our new color is Pecan Pie, part of the refreshed Neutrals family and I have paired it with Petal Pink and a little dash of Old Olive for the leaves.

You all know that I love flowers and am always drawn to new stamp sets that feature them, especially if they have greetings as well! The Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set fits that bill perfectly and it particularly speaks to me as one of our Yorkie’s was called Daisy and we were especially close.

Welcome Back Misty Moonlight ~ Any Occasion Card Idea

Hip, Hip Hooray ~ Misty Moonlight has returned to the Stampin UP family as a core color!!! This is such a lovely, sophisticated blue and works brilliantly with Smoky Slate. The Nature’s Prints Stamp Set carried over into the new catalog, so I have mixed a new product in with one already in my stash. I think this color combo would work for a male or female card!
