Sometimes we need to be able to make a card quickly but still want it to be a fantastic creation to send. Using different layers of card can give the pizzazz we are looking for to impress. Today’s card takes about 10 – 12 mins to make, with the layers and a little embossing to give plenty of impact. Just to show how quick and easy it is to make I have a video to share.

Sunflower Quick and Easy Thank You Card

Sunflowers are so bright and cheerful, I have them growing in my garden – not because I planted them but they are in the bird seed we put out in the winter months, so it is the birds that plant them for me!

Vintage/Shabby Chic Thank You Card with Pretty Medallion

I have fallen in love with the Pretty Medallion background stamp, I have used it such a lot and will be sharing more with you over the coming weeks.

Today I have given the card a vintage/shabby chic spin with some sponging, die cutting with the Split Card Textures Dies, distressing and crinkled seam binding….. oh and there is a video to pull it all together 🙂

Decorated Ferrero Rocher Table Favors

Welcome to my Corner of the World

This is a fun little project, perfect for a table gift or a little ‘something’ for co-workers. It will hold either a Ferrero Rocher or Lindt Lindor chocolate, and very economic to make as you can get about 6 from one sheet of 11 x 8 1/2 card. Remember to change out your color scheme for Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas or even Red, White and Blue for July 4th!

Floating Book Fold Card ~ featuring Sun Prints Collection

I love a fun-fold card – the ladies who come to my classes love to create something just a little out of the ordinary and today’s card with video is just that.

I used the goodies from the newly released Sun Prints Collection, which has a stamp set with coordinating dies, the Fern 3D embossing folder and the very pretty Sun Prints decorative paper, scroll down for more info on the supplies, which are available separately or as a whole collection – you choose!. I have also thrown in one of the new in-colors ~ Tahitian Tide which pairs very well with Night of Navy.

Punch Art Honey Bee – Vintage Card Idea

You have probably picked up over the years that I love punches! They are quick and easy to use – I used the Lady Bird Builder Punch to create the sweet little honey bee on today’s card.

While I am very fond of shabby chic/vintage style cards I don’t make them very often as I run out of ideas, however the ink sponging technique with a little water coloring is a great way to start. Read on to see the card and video on creating the honey bee.
