I seem to start a lot of my posts expressing my amazement on where we are in the year ~ next week will be Thanksgiving here in the US!! Today’s card uses the Pretty Pumpkin Stamp Set pairing Bermuda Bay with Soft Seafoam ~ some non-traditional colors which I think work very well together if you are looking to create something a little unusual.
Continue readingThis is the second in the series of seasonal samplers I was asked to design for a class. Home decor is a particular favorite of mine, I just love to pull together the different elements, experimenting with different textures and colors until I trip over the ‘right’ combination.
I resisted the temptation to use the ‘traditional’ autumn/fall colors of cajun craze and pumpkin pie, although I did not use any of the papers, the color combination was inspired by the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper so you will see Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and the different shade of gold in the Brushed Metallic Card.

I created two different versions using the same stamp set and card layout then switched out my colors, so one is very traditional and the second …. well it is just a little different! Continue readingI look at the calendar and realize we are in the second half of August and autumn is on the doorstep! The 2021 Holiday Mini Catalog has some super autumn themed products and colors and one of the choices on my wish list was the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle with the Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set and coordinating Detailed Pumpkins dies.
Todays card showcases this bundle paired with the Watercolor Shapes Stamp Set, I also broke out my Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Blends to do a little coloring.
