Continue readingI have been sharing the various steps in creating my green foliage themed junk journal. Today I am sharing how I created my first master board. This is the most perfect way of using up paper scraps and introducing some other media as well. Most of the paper pieces were torn with the aid of a steel ruler, others used the cut edges. If you are not sure what a master board is watch the video to see the fun I had gluing and stamping onto a piece of plain ol’ brown packing paper 🙂

Continue readingSo it is time to add some more to my latest junk journal and I made a video on how to make a multi-tag pocket that can hold various ephemera ideas, such as tickets, photos, and other small mementos, and discover how to incorporate it into your junk journal design. I use just one sheet of paper to create the pocket then decorate it up with some stickers, journaling cards and a cute little cluster.

Like last year, I recognize not everyone is into making 3D items so have created a card for each month, using elements from the calendar for that month and included a video to show how I went about making the card.

Continue readingIt is exactly one year ago today that we arrived back to live in the UK after 23 years in the US! That time has simply flown by and I am sincerely thankful that we have been able to keep in contact with our friends in the US as well as settling in our new lives back here and spending time with family which was our principle reason for returning. Although Thanksgiving is not recognised here in the UK we are cooking our Thanksgiving Lunch as I write this!
Today I am sharing a masculine themed card ~ always a challenge for me, but I have invested in some new stamp sets that are more ‘fella’ oriented and was quite chuffed with the result!
