Around this time of year Stampin’ UP! introduces some new colors and retires some others, the 2020 – 2022 In-color Just Jade is one of those that will be leaving us on May 2nd, so today’s card is a quick monochromatic card featuring all the Just Jade products.

I know many of us have ‘old stuff’ waiting patiently to be used, waiting their turn after we have played with the ‘new stuff’ – so let us not waste them – pick out a few of the colors for your ink and card and turn them into a pretty thank you card.

I just loved the stamp with the Jacobean design, with all the curls and loops ( it reminds me of a cross-stitch fire screen I once made) Today I have used it in a very simple but elegant birthday card although you could use any of the greetings in the set to create it for another occasion.

Continue readingToday’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal!
I think it meets my aim of using one stamp set, a couple of ink pads, an embellishment and a tool.
It is hard to believe this is my last post for 2021 – the year has simply flown by despite all the ‘issues’ we have all experienced!
I have chosen to use a the Tidings of Christmas Designer Paper to create a ‘Just Because’ card today. This paper is in the Annual Catalog and available year round, and although Christmas 2021 is behind us I wanted to use it for something other than a Christmas card (although you could add a Christmas greeting and it would work very well)
Continue readingI hope you all had a peaceful Christmas yesterday. We have been so focused on the Christmas holiday, but other occasions do happen around this time of year. Our son and daughter-in-law celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary a few days before Christmas, today I share the card we sent them.
I used one of the new stamp sets from the 2022 January – June Mini Catalog – Eden’s Garden – for their card which I am sharing today.
Continue readingThis is such a very easy fold to do – by simply cutting the front slightly shorter than the back it allowed me to use the vertical ‘Happy Birthday’ from the Celebrate with Flowers Stamp Set, so it would be visible with the card closed. I have paired Granny Apple Green with Poppy Parade ~ a very bright and fresh combination.

Today’s card uses the Pretty Pumpkin Stamp Set pairing Bermuda Bay with Soft Seafoam ~ some non-traditional colors which I think work very well together if you are looking to create something a little unusual.

I just love the big “always” in the Field of Flowers Stamp Set – which also has a number of additional phrases to meet the most occasions. Today I have chosen to use the ‘thinking of you’ to finish my card.
