I always think blue, silver and white as New Year colors ~ not exclusively though, as I also have a Christmas tree decorated with ornaments in those colors.
I wanted to make some party favours for New Year and decided to use an idea of Connie Stewart’s from Simply Simple Stamping to make them in the shape of a slice of pie,and since I was using different shades of blue I have dubbed it ‘blueberry pie’
The Perfect Pennants die was used for the basic shape and I chose Night of Navy, Soft Sky, Island Indigo and Pool Party card stock with Baked Brown Sugar for the ‘pie crust’
The fancy decoration on the top of each slice was made using the Lattice die and the leftover Winter Frost DSP paper stack from the holiday mini catalog. Everything was assembled using snail adhesive and the occasional glue dot or dimensional.
The whipped cream was made using Stampin’ Up’s Creped Filter Paper and the largest flower from the Blossom Party Originals die. (also a Connie Stewart design) Once assembled I scrunched up the layers, spritzed them with some spray adhesive before sprinkling some dazzling diamonds glitter on the top.
I had great fun making these and as each piece of ‘pie’ was stuffed with chocolates, they were well received!
If you’d like any of the supplies, to shop, or to get a catalog, please feel free to contact me, and if you’re thinking of joining Stampin’ Up! and my team I’d most definitely like to hear from you
Your blueberry pie party favors–absolutely adorable!
