I made this card for the husband of a dear friend who celebrated his birthday this week. My inspiration was from a card by POOTLES, a UK Stampin Up demonstrator. I used Stampin UP’s Modern Medley DSP and the ‘Really Good Greetings’ Stamp Set. I particularly wanted to use the ‘music note’ design as he is a musician.
The card base is Basic Black, I cut the DSP with 1 inch square punch and Very Vanilla with the Postage Stamp Punch, these are layered together using Snail Adhesive and attached to the card base with Stampin Dimensionals.
The sentiments is stamped in Black Stazon and cut with Stampin Up’s new Banners Framelits Dies then topped with a couple of Black Candy Dots.
As the base card is black I adhered a Very Vanilla insert to write my message and topped everything off with a Very Vanilla envelope. I thought it made a very good ‘guy’ card.
