We are a whole week into Sale-a-bration and I promised I would share more cards some of the free products you can earn during Sale-a-bration. So today I am featuring the Lotus Blossom Stamp Set and the Irresistibly Yours DSP. These are both wonderful products and once I started playing with them and my stamp pads I could not stop with the color combinations. These products are only available until March 31st and you cannot buy them ~ they come FREE with a product order of $50!!
The Lotus Blossom Stamp Set uses a three step stamping technique, each of the stamps applies a slightly different image of the lotus flower so that you can build up your colors and really get a WOW!! As the set is photopolymer it is so easy to do as you can see right thru each stamp to line everything up!
The card base is Pear Pizzazz cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and scored @ 4 1/4
I cut a piece of the DSP at 5 1/4 x 2. When you look at this paper it appears to be all white, but hold it under a light and you will see that it is embossed with a white design, it really springs into life when you get a Stampin’ Sponge and apply ink with a circular motion. Once you have the strength of color you want then simply burnish with a paper towel or tissue and it will take the excess ink off the pattern and it will really pop!
The image is stamped onto 4 x 2 3/4 Whisper White using Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Pool Party, then layered onto 4 1/4 x 3 Pear Pizzazz using Snail Adhesive. This was then attached to the base card with 5/6 Stampin’ Dimensionals. A thin strip of Silver Glimmer Paper and a little loop of the new Jute Ribbon from the Occasions Catalog completed my card.
Excited by this fresh and bright color combination I started to look at the other ink pads on my work bench and thought ‘Vintage’,
This card uses the same Lotus Blossom stamp set and I used Early Expresso, Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake inks to build up my flowers. The base card is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Crumb Cake, the image is stamped on Whisper White, edges sponged with Soft Suede ink and layered onto Chocolate Chip card. About 10″ of Early Expresso 1/2 seam binding, Venetian Crotchet Trim and Champagne Glimmer paper, gave me my final vintage feel.
Here are my other color combinations, in each case I used the lightest ink to color the DSP:
-
- Cajun Craze and Blushing Bride
- Crushed Curry and So Saffron
- Strawberry Slush and Pink Pirouette
- Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum & Wisteria Wonder
- Tangerine Tango and Crisp Cantaloupe
- Pacific Point and Marina Mist
- Blackberry Bliss and Perfect Plum
