Leadership Swaps ~ Part 1

Last week I attended Stampin’ Up!’s annual Leadership Conference in Orlando Florida.  This is a chance to hear from the senior people from Stampin’ Up!’s home office, to meet fellow demonstrators and to share ideas.  It is open to all demonstrators and is a great way to connect with those who share a love of paper crafting.

Every time demonstrators get together it is a good excuse to make cards and to swap with our peers, it is one of the highlights!

This time I took part in an organised swap, where we were asked to make a 2 x 2″ ‘card candy’ piece and we needed to make around 40 of them, the only requirement is that we should use product from the new occasions catalog.  When I was working on my design it was in my mind that these would be great for thank you cards for a bride, the feature color could be changed to match her wedding colors, but equally for a baby shower, birthday…. well, lets face it……. for any time a ‘thank you ‘ is needed 🙂

The base is in Sahara Sand, with a 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 layer of Whisper White embossed with the ‘Spring Flowers’ folder.  The bow was made from ‘Something Borrowed’ DSP using the fabulous ‘Bow Builder punch’.

The sentiments was stamped in Calypso Coral using one of the stamps from Painted Petals and the accent flower used the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack, Crisp Cantaloupe card stamped ‘tone-on-tone’ with the ‘Something Lacy’ Background Stamp.
