This is the final project celebrating Valentine’s Day, I think I saved this one for last as it really does use colors well outside the box, but who said Valentine cards had to be red and pink!!!!
I hope you enjoyed my week of valentine projects, I certainly enjoyed sharing them with you – if you have a moment please leave me a comment ~ let me know you are out there !!!!!
This card was the result of a ‘Mystery Stampin’ Challenge’ set by my Stampin’ Up! Grandmother, Sharon. She sent out a series of clues over the course of an hour last Sunday afternoon, we were encouraged to share a photo after each clue and then to post the finished card on our ‘Stampin’ Friends Forever’ Facebook page.
It was huge fun to see how fellow card-crafters had taken different stamp sets, card stock and embellishments and produced totally different cards from the same clues!!
Once again, my card features the You Plus Me stamp set ~ from the 2015 Occasions catalog
- 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Pacific Point, scored @ 4 1/4
- 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White (inside the card)
- 3 x 3 Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
- Scraps of Pacific Point and Pool Party for embellishments
Pacific Point and Versamark Inks
The base card was stamped with Versamark using 2 of the images from the set. The same was done on a scrap of Pacific Point card then cut out with the Sweetheart Punch.
The ‘Be Mine’ was stamped on a scrap of Pool Party with Pacific Point ink and again the Sweetheart punch used to cut it out.
The Sunburst was cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper using the middle framelit and the Big Shot.
I stamped the 7/8 cotton ribbon with Pacific Point in before folding it in half and attaching it to the back of the starburst with a couple of glue dots. The ‘loopy bits’ were made by cutting a length of Burlap and Jute ribbon, trimming off one edge then pulling the threads from the length, then attaching them with glue dots. The starburst was then added with Stampin’ Dimensionals to hid all the mechanics and the hearts added with Stampin Dimensionals as well.
Here are the main supplies used:
