Something for Baby Card from Stampin’ Up!

Two new babies arrived this past week, one the son of some friends and the other the daughter of the folks who live a few houses away in our neighbourhood.  This seems to have been a year for babies…… I cannot remember making so many cards in so short a time!

I used the ‘Something for Baby’ stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  It has lots of lovely ‘baby’ images but even better……. it has matching framelits to make the cutting out of the oneses and booties an absolute doddle (and English word for ‘easy’) Also it is available as a bundle at a 15% discount!

Base card: Pink Pirouette or Soft Sky ~ cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2   scored @ 4 1/4

Layer 1: Whisper White ~ cut to 4 x 5 1/4

Layer 2: Pink Pirouette or Soft Sky ~ cut to 3 3/4 x 2 3/4

Layer 3 : Whisper White ~ cut 2 3/4 x 2 3/4

Inks:Pink Pirouette or Soft Sky and Smoky Slate

The ‘clothes hanger’ was stamped onto layer 3 in Smoky Slate before running thru the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots Embossing folder.

Close up of the blue, I added pearls to the front of the onesie ( I tried several ways to spell this word – it is not in the spell-checker ~ did I get it right?)

IMG_2860I added a little bib to the front of the pink one

The greeting came from the ‘ And Many More’ stamp set, stamped in Smoky Slate, cut out with the Word Window Punch and layered onto Silver Glimmer paper cut with the Washi Label punch.

The wonderful thing about Stampin’ Up! products in the co-ordination – I was able to use the lovely 1/2 seam binding which comes in both Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky…… it makes lovely soft bows, perfect for a baby card!

I hope you enjoyed this one – let me know your thoughts below …………
