Welcome to Card # 6 using the Celebrate Today Stamp Set, which takes a Christmas theme.
I know, I know – we are not even half-way thru September and here I am showing Christmas cards!!! but Christmas ‘stuff’ has been in the craft stores for several months now and I am sure the next 3 months will fly by so I don’t think it is too soon to be thinking about getting a head start on the Christmas cards.

I actually have 2 to share – one being the happy result of a little snafu on doing the first card!
Base card : 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Cherry Cobbler card~ scored at 4 1/4
Layer 1: 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 Tip Top Taupe
Layer 2: 4 1/2 x 3 1/4 Very Vanilla
Ink colors ~ Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Tip Top Taupe
The ‘fir branches’ come from using the fir tree from the ‘Lovely as a Tree’ stamp set and the greeting is from the ‘Lots of Joy’ stamp set.
For this card I flipped the ‘balloon’ and made it into a tree ornament and stamped the ‘Merry Christmas’ greeting with Cherry Cobbler onto the Tip Top Taupe background. I cut a second ornament from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and a couple of small bows from scraps of Cherry Cobbler card ~ this stamp set has matching framelits so it a snap to cut these out without having to dig out the scissors for fussy cutting.
My second Christmas card uses the ‘ornament’ I stamped the greeting upside down – I put this piece aside and made another, but it troubled me ‘cos I hate waste………. so this is what it turned into:
Who said a Christmas card can’t have a balloon on it! The clouds come from the ‘Sprinkles of Life’ Stamp set (a recent stamp set of the month on-line class)
I hope you enjoyed it – let me know your thoughts below …………
