Mystery Stamp-a-long ~ World of Dreams

Last week my Stampin’ Up! Gramma, Sharon, organised a Mystery Stamp-a-long via Facebook.  It was an hour long virtual event  from the comfort of my own study.

She gave us  a brief list of what to have on hand, cardstock, Designer Series Paper, coordinating ink, stamp set (with pictures and words) and some embellishments – that was all the info we had to go on until the stamp-a-long started.

We were given short instructions every 10 mins, then asked to take a picture and add it to the Facebook event.

Here is my card:

Mystery Stamp 1

The first instruction was to attach a 5 1/2 x 1″ piece of DSP to the bottom of the card, I chose Timeless Elegance.  The second was to stamp the main image directly onto the card base….. well since I had chosen black card and ink I was not going to have a lot of luck with that……so I cut a piece of Very Vanilla for both the picture and the words.  I chose Crumb Cake ribbon and candy dots as my embellishments.

Although I was pleased with the result I was not completely satisfied so after the ‘stamp-a-long’ was over I pulled out a piece of Sahara Sand card and followed the instructions again ………

With the exception of a little banner of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper the card is exactly the same as my first attempt, but I think I like better than the first attempt.

Looking forward to the next Stamp-a-long  – it was great fun!

Here are the main supplies used:
