This time next week we shall be celebrating Christmas Day – I have decorated my house (3 Christmas trees) and my husband had decorated the front garden. Practically all the decorations we have put up are ‘shop bought’ which is strange when I spend most of my time ‘crafting’ but it true when they say ‘ the shoe-makers children are the last ones to get shoes’!!! My house is usually the last to get hand made decor – but I do have a couple of banners which I made and have displayed.
This is one of the projects we made for the Stampin’ Getaway I hosted in October. It is about 36″ long and has lots of shiny glitteryness (its a word ~ honest!) You can see I used the Tea Lace Paper Doilies which are 4″ diameter with Real Red and Garden Green card with Silver Glimmer Paper, Red and Silver Foil Sheets for all the embellishments. I think I used most of the punches in my collection.Wherever I could, I put a rhinestone ~ so there is about 60 or 70 on the entire banner.
The center piece uses the Reason for the Season Stamp Set with a silver Metallic Foil Doily behind the red star.
Each piece is held on the ribbon with a Clothes Pin so it will pack away safely for next year. .
Hope you enjoyed this project – leave me a comment at the bottom 🙂
