Advent Calendar – Countdown to Christmas ~ Day 14

Only 11 more ‘sleeps’ until Christmas Day – is how we used measure our excitement as children.  My friend, Elly, from the UK and I had such fun designing the Advent Calendar calendar using a 24 cup mini muffin pan and throughout December I have been sharing one  of the squares each day with a brief description of each.

You will want to open each post, as there will be a little treat behind each one!  Some days it might be some virtual ‘candy’ or sweeties as we call them in the UK, other times it might be a card, 3D project or a video!

Each of the squares start with a 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch base with 4 little magnets stuck to the back with glue dots.  The primary colors are  Real Red, Old Olive, Smoky Slate and Soft Sky. Ink Colors included those above, plus two neutrals of  Tip Top Taupe and Early Expresso.

The sentiment for this square came from the ‘Oh, What Fun’ stamp set.  Stamped first in Early Express and cut with the 2″ circular punch, then stamped again in Real Red on a small scrap of paper before ‘fussy cutting’ the ‘wishing you’ banner,  which was then popped up on a couple of dimensionals .

Today’s virtual treat:

‘Take a Break ~ Take a Kit Kat~ as the old commercial used to say! 🙂  we certainly need a little break from all the preparations for the big day.
