Pop of Petals – making the stamp set and punch work together video.

Oh………… I have a new color combination that I have fallen in love with………….  Soft Sea Foam and Gray Granite, both are new members of the SU color family and they go together so very well.

I have a number of wedding anniversaries on the horizon and wanted to make some cards ready to send,  I also wanted to use one of the new bundles that was on the first order I placed after the new catalog went live on June 1st – Pop of Petals – a stamp set of the same name and the Four Petal Flower Punch.

I was stamping away with the flowers – picked up the punch to cut them out and realized they flowers are not symmetrical and a bit more ‘process’ is necessary to make this bundle a joy and delight to use.  So I sat back and thought a while, worked out how to do it and then made a video to share.

Card base:  8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Soft Sea Foam Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4

Layer 1: 5  x 3 3/4  Gray Granite Card

Layer 2: 4 7/8 x 3 5/8 Whisper White Card

Ink Colors: Soft Sea Foam and Gray Granite

The greeting comes from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set – a bestest favorite of mine!  I explain in the video how I scrunched up the flowers to give them ‘life’ then attached two of them to the card with mini glue dots and the other two with mini stampin dimensionals.  A scattering of Basic Pearl Jewels and I am done…………. very please with the result as well, despite the little hiccup to start.
