Sketch Challenge~Ink and Share Scrapbook Blog Hop

Welcome to the 2nd in Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop,  I am delighted to be taking part  again.

You will have either arrived from  Rebecca Jo’s  post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME .   This month’s theme is  a sketch challenge! ~ we were given a sketch as inspiration. I have never used a sketch for a scrapbook page before so this certainly is a challenge for me!

Once again I have chosen to use a 12 x 12 page – mainly because Stampin’ UP! has 12 x 12 card stock in all its colors which gives me a fantastic choice but also because they have the 12 x 12 Page Protectors and Albums.

We are at the very end of summer 2018 and I have decided to celebrate with Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral – 2 of the most summer themed colors in Stampin’ UP!’s palette.    I want to show you that your card making supplies can be used for creating scrapbook pages and customized embellishments, quickly and easily.

This is the sketch we were given

Here is my take on it!

The background page is 12 x 12 Coastal Cabana, I used 12 x 5 strip of Tea Room Specialty DSP across the middle and another design of the same DSP pack featuring Calypso Coral with the Four Petal Flower Punch for the flowers, then stamped with the same color ink using one of the flowers from the coordinating Pop of Petals Stamp Set.  Each of the flowers was cupped using the ball tool in the new Take Your Pick, attached to the page with a glue dot then added a Basic Jewel Rhinestone to the middle of each.

I could not resist using one of the new punches from the 2018 Holiday Catalog, the Sprig Punch, with the Sparkle Glimmer Paper ~ my lovely customers will tell you I cannot resist a punch!  The title also uses the Sparkle Glimmer Paper cut with the Celebrate You Thinlet dies, these were attached to Calypso Coral banners using the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet (click here to see how I did this)
