Happy August!  

You know Stampin’ UP! has 50 different choices in their current color families, one might say we were spoilt for choice!  Rather than resort to my ribbon drawer for inspiration today, I stared at my paper rack and decided on Flirty Flamingo to start then looked for a neutral, Early Expresso and Crumb Cake came to mind, then I spied one of the new in-colors, Cinnamon Cider!  They went together perfectly!

I used the Blossoms in Bloom Stamp Set along with my Stamparatus, as the main stamp is quite large and so much easier to handle with the Stamparatus.

Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Flirty Flamingo Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4

Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Cinnamon Cider Card

Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Whisper White Card

Ink Colors: Flirty Flamingo and Cinnamon Cider

I stamped the greeting first, then placed the card in the Stamparatus, I did not necessarily want to get the entire flower image on the card, somehow it looks a bit more artistic with some of it missing.  The little dots and leaves were added once the main image was stamped. 5 Stampin Dimensionals to attach it all to the card base and I am done. 

I really like the simplicity of today’s card and I really love the color combination – what to do you think? 🙂
