We are a few days away from the autumnal solstice so I don’t feel too bad about sharing my first Christmas themed card of the season. Poinsettias seem to be popular this year and when I saw the Poinsettia Petals Bundle in the 2020 August – December Mini I knew I was hooked as well.

I have chosen to go with Merry Merlot, Vanilla and Gold on my card and to complete the lusciousness tons of gold heat embossing!

• Base Card: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Merry Merlot Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
• Layer 1: 5 x 3 3/4 Very Vanilla Card
• Layer 2: 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 Cherry Cobbler Card
• Ink Color: Versamark with Gold Embossing Powder

I randomly stamped a pointsettia with Versamark then added gold embossing powder before melting with the Heat Tool. This layer is then attached to the Very Vanilla layer with Multipurpose Adhesive.

I took a large scrap of Very Vanilla to stamp and emboss one of each of the Poinsettia ‘flowers’ then cut out with the appropriate dies. I used my Bone Folder to curl each ‘petal’ to give them a little more life before stacking them together with a Stampin Dimensional in between. A red Wonderful Gem finishes off the center

To give another level of sophistication the greeting is stamped on a piece of Vellum CardStock.
