I love the decorative papers that Stampin’ UP! has for us to use and just cannot bear to waste any of it if I can help it. I recently was cutting papers from the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper for a project and had a whole bunch of pieces left, some of them as small as 1 3/8 x 1!

I chose a couple of the colors from the paper, in this case Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzazz and created a whole bunch of ‘Thank You’ cards which I sent out to the lovely people who chose to shop for the SU goodies with me in September.

• Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Flirty Flamingo Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
• Layer 1: 1 1/2 x 1/2 DSP layered onto 1 5/8 x 1 5/8 Pear Pizzazz Card
• Layer 2: 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 DSP layered onto 3 5/8 x 1 5/8 Pear Pizzazz Card
• Layer 3: 1 3/8 x 1 DSP layered onto 1 1/2 x 1 1/8 Pear Pizzazz Card
• Ink Color: Early Expresso

I used the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set for my greeting, simply stamped directly onto the card base. A trio of the elegant gold Metallic Pearls and we have a beautiful card.

You can create these cards with any scraps you have in your stash, simply choose a couple of the colors from the decorative paper (DSP), then cut layer about 1/8 or 1/4 larger than each of your scraps. I use Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to attach the dsp to the card layer, then attach to card base with Liquid Adhesive and Stampin Dimensionals.
