Pretty Blue Snowflake Christmas Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

We have had some unseasonally warm weather here in North Texas, just last week we were out walking in shirtsleeves musing that it would never have been possible to walk without coats in November when we lived in our native UK! Well the weather has started to cool now and by all accounts we are due a cold front in the coming days, so it is time to think of some seasonal cards.

I am using the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set for today’s Christmas Card along with some blues and greens and a twist of Snowflake Splendor Ribbon which has a very pretty iridescent effect.

  • Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Night of Navy Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
  • Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White Card
  • Layer 2: 4 1/4 x 3 Balmy Blue Card
  • Layer 3: 4 x 2 3/4 Whisper White Card
  • Ink Color: Night of Navy, Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz

I started by stamping the greeting on the smallest piece of Whisper White card, then simply filled in the rest of the space by randomly stamping snowflakes. The same thing for the first layer, just ensuring the snowflakes did not go on top of one another incase it looked messy!

The little knot of Snowflake Ribbon is attached with a mini glue dot, with a Blue Adhesive-backed Gem over the ‘i’ in wishes and a final sprinkling of Snowflake Adheisve-backed Embellishments ( hard to see in the photo but they are there! )

Check out how I tie my knots
