Today I have gone right back to basics with some Card, Ink and Stamps………….. and a little bling, of course!!! Sometimes I can get so wrapped up in fancy colds or techniques that I can forget the pleasure of just simply using color to create texture, so I cracked out my Blending Brushes, the Layering Leaves Stamps set and a couple of ink pads!
- Base Card: 8 1/4 x 4 1/4 Basic White Thick Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
- Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Pumpkin Pie Card
- Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Basic White Card
- Ink Color: Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry
I tend to turn to Pumpkin Pie in the run up to Halloween but it truly is a beautiful orange for this bright and sunny card. I used my Blending Brush to apply some Crushed Curry Ink to one side of the Basic White card taking care to fade it out toward the center.
Then I added my greeting from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set, then added the leaves with full strength ink. The dots were then added to fill some empty space, I used the stamping off technique, by stamping onto some scratch paper before stamping on the card without reinking ~ this gives a lighter, softer image.
Once my stamping and blending was done it was simple to attach all the pieces together with Liquid Adhesive and to add a few Iridescent Pearls for a little shine.
