I recently took part in an on-line Stampin’ UP! event, several folks commented that they were not really ‘taken’ with Wild Wheat – one of the new 2023 -2025 In colors and were finding it hard to pair it with another color. Personally I really like it, it has sort of matt gold overtones and after a little thinking and experimenting I paired it with a particular favorite of mine……….. Blackberry Bliss, with Very Vanilla as my neutral ……………… I think this makes a great Autumn color combo!

A few months ago, one of the ladies who comes to my in-person classes asked about making cards using Quilt Blocks – I am always up for a challenge and love it when someone requests a technique or a fun fold. As the nights draw in I am starting to think about autumn leaves, indeed the leaves on our peach tree have started to turn color and to fall. The Inked and Tiled Stamp Set has fast become a favorite of mine, I have used it on many of the cards I have shared in the last few months, it has a beautiful leaf stamp which I have used as the centerpiece of my card.

Things are looking up ‘eyewise’ so I am hoping to get back to blogging and sharing my projects with you on a more regular basis – I thank you for your patience while I worked thru a really trying time for me 🙂

2023 Flip Over Desk Calendar ~ September

Once again I enjoyed designing and making my flip over calendar for 2023, with the help of my friend, Elly – while she was visiting from the UK in October. As I have done for the last few years I am going to be sharing one at the start of each month. This was designed for a stamp camp in early December 2022, we had such fun making them and my ladies have made me promise to do another for 2024

I am changing things a little for this year, I recognise not everyone is into making 3D items so have created a card for each month, using elements from the calendar for that month. .
