So yesterday I shared the new Sale-abration goodies you can collect when you place an order for at least $50 of Stampin’ Up! product. You can choose to purchase anything from the annual catalog, clearance rack or the new 2019 Occasions Catalog which has lots of spring and summer themed products, Valentine, Mothers Day and Father’s Day – just so very much to choose from!
I cannot believe it is a month since I was in Orlando Florida at Stampin’ UP!’s annual get-together for demonstators, celebrating our 30th anniversary, Where did that month go?
One of the traditions of our OnStage event is to make cards and swap with other talented demonstrators – so to give us a little break from Christmas themes I though I would share my swap, the theme being ‘Celebration’. There is a perfect ‘celebration’ greeting in the Perennial Birthday Stamp set and as I was going to make quite a few cards I used the image stamps to create my own decorative paper.
Don’t you just love this combination? The softness of the Very Vintage Stamp Set with Powder Pink and Sahara Sand.
This is such a pretty stamp set with sentiments that cover birthdays, thank you as well as a ‘just because’ card and we could all use those ~ how lovely to receive a card ‘Just Because’ someone was thinking about you and wanted you to know.
Time to share a technique ~ Black Ice. It creates a great focal point to a card with a really unusual finish. As this is an embossing technique it also gave me a chance to pull out my Heat Gun which has been sadly neglected for a while 🙂
Looking at the color combination I think this would make for a great card for the guys in our lives and the second sample with a little flower and bow would be great for a feminine card.
Last week I shared a scrapbook page as part of the September’s Ink and Share Scrapbook Blog Hop. I had a few of the pieces left over when I finished the page and could not bear to throw them away – I thought they would make a good card and also show how scrapbooking and card-making with Stampin’ UP! products is so very easy.
I have used the sentiments from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set on other projects because I love the words and the script – but if occurred to me that I has overlooked the flowers and the coordinating Blossom Builder Punch for far too long. Today’s card puts that right and gives me a chance to do some 2-step stampin’ which this stamp set was designed to do!
A dear friend of mine recently became an American Citizen, just in time to celebrate her 18th year of living in this country. A good reason for a card, of course, but it needed to be special with a little ‘nod’ to both her countries of citizenship – the UK as well as the USA (we Brits are allowed to be dual citizens by both countries)
Red, White and Blue are obvious choices as both countries flags have those colors, then I chose to use the lovely ‘swish’ from the Star of Light stamp set as it has stars and the ‘swish’ part reminds me of fireworks and celebration. To honor her British side and her love of tea (very much like my own as I explained earlier this week) a tea cup from the Time For Tea Stamp Set
This is the 3rd in my series of short and sweet videos showing tips and techniques using the Stamparatus. It shows another type of hinge stamping using the delightful Touches of Texture Stamp Set, stamping off technique using the Stamparatus and a little watercoloring
The Stamparatus is Stampin’ UP!’s latest tool and an absolute must have for all stampers. It helps you perfectly align your stamp images, stamp multiples of the same project quickly and accurately and gets complete ink coverage – ‘cos you can do a ‘do-over’ as my video today will show. WOW – 650 blog posts since I first started back in July 2013 – so today is a double celebration! In the early days my posts were few and far between – often times I could not think of what to share, but these days I try very hard to post every other day as well as share video tutorials thru my You Tube channel.
I appreciate you following me, liking my posts and more importantly making comments – it just lets me know that you are all out there and I am not just talking to myself, so please ‘comment ‘ and ‘ like ‘ away – I truly appreciate your giving me some of your time!
Now – back to business…………….. I am not a great one for going onto Pinterest – not that I don’t love the whole concept but I loose track of time and suddenly 2 or 3 hours have passed and I have little to show for it!! So I ration myself ~ maybe for about 30 mins or so.
