Nature’s Prints Bundle featuring Distressed Gold Paper

Welcome to my Corner of the World

In an earlier post I introduced the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set with coordinating Natural Prints Dies. As I was sharing the dies I made a comment about the beautiful wreath die and how I would be making use of it in very short order. So today’s card does just that using one of the new specialty papers – Distressed Gold – which is absolutely stunning.

Paper Hug – Inspirational Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

What a great sentiment for a card – it can be used for just about any occasion, especially one of those times when you feel like sending a card to someone you know needs cheering up, letting them know you are thinking about them.

This card is a bit of a punch fest – using 3 to create the embellishments in what is a very simple card.

BTW – with a new catalog comes a new offer to become part of the Stampin’ UP! family – check it out here!

Forever Fern Friend Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I have used the Forever Fern Stamp Set such a lot – I love those leaves and there are some lovely greetings to go along with them. Today I have paired it with the Bloom Where You’re Planted Decorative Paper, which itself has lots of leafy designs that work well with the stamps.

The ‘to a friend that makes me smile’ greeting is just so lovely – it can work for a birthday, thinking of you, get well or just because card – it just covers a host of different occasions.

Sweet Symmetry Pretty Get Well Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I spend a lot of time looking thru the Stampin’ UP! Annual Catalog, and I look – I really do look and then suddenly something catches my eye I had not seen before……. ????? Once the circles are cut it is really easy to attach a piece of decorative paper to the back and here is the result………….

Hey there ~ Cute Squirrel Card with hand colored ribbon

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I promised to share my voyage in learning how to use Stampin’ Blends. In this 6th video in the series, I share how to color ribbon to match your project and features the utterly cute Nuts about Squirrels Stamp Set.

I have shared before that often my ribbon drawer is the starting point for choosing colors for my projects but sometimes there just isn’t the color I need ! No problem ~ I can color up some of my own! As I explain in my video, today’s card is to welcome my great-niece into the family and I was looking for something cute but not pink so Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral it is and although I designed it for a new baby I think it would work for just about any occasion!

Very Versailles Sympathy Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Sometimes we need a sympathy card, I know I have had to send out a some in the last couple of months, but it gives me a sense that at least I have done ‘something’ to acknowledge the loss a family is feeling.

It is difficult to judge what colors to use, black, or dark colors versus something a little brighter, I pondered on this and decided to go with Very Vanilla and Just Jade and use the peaceful trail of leaves from the Very Versailles Stamp Set.
