One Sheet Wonder ~ 4 Cards from from 6 x 6 Paper

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Earlier this year I created this One Sheet Wonder set of cards for the ladies who took part in my decorative paper and embellishment share. Although both of these papers have now retired the principles for making the cards remain the same. There is a PDF recipe for you to refer to as well as a video showing how to cut your papers and create your cards….. I hope you enjoy it, let me know by adding a comment below!

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Today’s cards are full of techniques – one sheet wonder, two-step stampin’ masking and die cutting. They were created ‘on the hoof’ during a recent You Tube Live I did – I literally did not know how my card was going to turn out when I started but I sure was thrilled at then end by the result!

You can join me every Sunday at 12 noon (CST) 6pm ( GMT) to join in the fun and contribute to the creation of my project for that week!

Peaceful Place ~ Layered Panel Card Technique

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Stampin’ UP! has so many beautiful decorative papers available to us papercrafters. The Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Paper has some really stunning images that just cry out to be the center piece of your Christmas Cards.

As I explain in the video, there is one design in the pack that has the same image 4 times on one sheet of 12 x 12, creating a sheet 6 x 6 which I was not sure what to do with. I decided to use it to create 2 cards using a technique I call a Layered Panel – this post explains how I work out the cutting and sizes of layers to create 2 different layouts.

Blackberry Beauty “a little note’ Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Sometimes a piece of decorative paper just tells you what you need to do with it! One of the designs in the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper Pack did just that when I clapped eyes on it – by simply cutting it into 6 pieces I had a 6 card front layers ready to attach to a card base! . This particular paper has beautiful plant designs and needed no more than a simple greeting to finish it off, a quick and easy card if you are in a rush.

Poinsettia Thank You Card ~ Easy One Sheet Wonder

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Happy December! Today I am mixing a little Christmas with a thank you card, we are all going to need to be sending thank yous over the coming weeks, and how much nicer would it be to send a card rather than an email or text! and I think this would be the perfect card to send.

Poinsettias are so ‘Christmas’, it is the only time we see them in the shops! I was playing around with the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set, just randomly stamping the petals on a sheet of Very Vanilla Card, before too long I had covered it with petals, leaves and little berries……. and voila I had a one sheet wonder!

Posted for You – Mini One Sheet Wonder

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I love to share my love of papercrafting, partly thru my classes, blog and YouTube channel and when someone becomes a member of my demonstrator team. Last month there was a special joining offer and one of my ladies jumped at the chance. When someone does join my team I like to welcome them with a small handmade gift and card.

The Posted for You stamp set has the cutest of images and greetings, they allowed me to create a mini one sheet wonder to use as a focal point on both my card and gift and I had a piece left over to make a birthday card.
