Another Quick and Easy Fun Fold

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Well this one got away from me – Notes of Nature Stamp Set and Dies retired just a few days ago and I had this card all ready to share with you, but I am going to do so anyway because if you have this set in your stash it will work for you alternatively another set will work equally as well – it is really all about the fold!!!!

What to do with Artist Trading Cards

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Earlier this year I tripped across the concept of Artist Trading Cards, these are small pieces of art that measures 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 and can be made from various materials, paper, card, ribbon, embellishments exactly the products that Stampin’ UP! offer. They are meant to be swapped, however it struck me that they would make perfect center pieces for a card and that is what I share today – oh and there is a short video on how the trading card came together!

A Little Vintage Going On!

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Easy Framed Florets Thank You Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

The Framed Florets Stamp Set has everything I love – flowers and greetings in a pretty cursive font. I have used it for today’s card which is monochromatic and just verging on the vintage side without having lots of sponging so is a very easy and fairly quick card to make. Since the stamp set has different greeting such as birthday, celebrate and friend – the layout and colors could be used to cover different occasions.

Bay Window Fancy Fold with Video Tutorial

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I do love a fancy/fun fold card ~ so do the ladies who come to my in-person classes. I also like them to be as simple and easy as possible to make while still being impressive! Today’s card relies on the score/folds to achieve both of these 🙂

We also have some techniques going on, two step stamping, die cutting and creating our own decorative paper, there is a video to following along with to show how it all comes together!

Embossing Paste Stenciling ~ Any Occasion Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

At a recent class I was asked by my card crafting ladies to share how to use the two types of Embossing Paste that Stampin’ UP! offer. It is a fun product to work with and while you can use any of the ready made masks/stencils available in the catalogs, it is fun to make your own! I used the Split Card Texture Dies to create mine then added some heat embossing on vellum and a little vintage’ing as well – so today’s card is packed with techniques!
