The leaves on the tree outside my study window are turning color and starting to fall very fast now – autumn is definitely upon us. I was not a fan of autumn when I used to live in the UK, now I live in North Texas, which has hot and dry summers, I find autumn to be a welcome change with the cooler days and better chances of rain!

The Beauty of the Earth Designer Series paper pack has some perfect autumnal color combinations and the design I have used on today’s card are exactly the colors of the tree outside my study! I chose to use a quick and simple Z-Fold card base along with the A Wish for Everything Stamp Set.

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Welcome November – we are enjoying some cooler weather here in North Texas, the clocks will change this coming Sunday and the leaves are starting to fall – with a little help from the very high winds we had last week.

If you are a regular follower of my blog you will know that in the early part of last December I had a class to create a flip over calendar, everyone loved it and made me promise we will do another for 2022 – I am in the planning stages! I thought I might start each month this year by posting the page for that month, so today I share, November with Pumpkins, acorns and leaves – very autumnal!

I love a fun fold card and I have a personal mission to ensure I used my decorative paper in my card making. Today’s card meets both of those plus I have a lovely thanksgiving card as a result, plus it will fit into a standard 5 3/4 x 4 3/8 envelope for easy posting!

Continuing my journey to develop my Stampin Blends skills today I use a heat embossed image to color rather than an ink one. I created two different versions using the same stamp set and card layout then switched out my colors, so one is very traditional and the second …. well it is just a little different! I look at the calendar and realize we are in the second half of August and autumn is on the doorstep! The 2021 Holiday Mini Catalog has some super autumn themed products and colors and one of the choices on my wish list was the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle with the Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set and coordinating Detailed Pumpkins dies.

Todays card showcases this bundle paired with the Watercolor Shapes Stamp Set, I also broke out my Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Blends to do a little coloring.

We are in Thanksgiving week and while this year has not been the best there are things to be grateful for, starting with the health and wellbeing of family and friends, followed by having a roof over our heads and food on the table.

Today’s card features the Gather Together Stamp Set with the co-ordinating Gathered Leaves Dies. I love that stem of corn in the set as well as the cute little pumpkins and I used both on this card.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and my card today would be perfect to send to friends and family members to celebrate this year. We might not be able to get together in person as we have in the past so a beautiful card will show them they are in our thoughts.

I have used the Celebration Tidings Stamp Set along with my very favorite Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pen, to color the pumpkins, leaves and berries.

Fall Themed Thank You Card

Well the leaves are falling from the trees thick and fast now, yesterday morning my husband spent half an hour raking the leaves in the back garden – 2 hours later it looked as though he had never even started as there was a thick carpet of them again!

Today’s card, made using the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set with the coordinating Autumn Punch Pack (available as a bundle for 10% discount!!) It kind of reminds me of the autumn leaves falling.
