I just love the card I am sharing today – well I love all the cards I make, share and send but the one today just shouts out at me, it has everything I love to put on a card, layers, bling, ribbon and finally that it uses the Painted Harvest Stamp set carried over from the 2017 Holiday Catalog, I have used this stamp set in all sorts of ways, with all sorts of color combinations but today I am using dramatic black and white with just a smidge of grey. I just love hedgehogs – they remind me of my childhood when we would find them in the garden and put out bread soaked in milk! Well, we all now know that this is NOT good for them at all and a little dog or cat food would have been far more suitable!
Another thing I love at the moment is the Painted Harvest Stamp set – it is so versatile it even makes hedgehogs! Continue reading
Halloween is now behind us and Thanksgiving will be in a few weeks. I have always loved autumn colors, the gentle mellowness of the lovely golden based tones.
The Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper is filled with Crushed Curry, Early Expresso, Cajun Craze and Tangerine Tango. Today I have two cards showcasing this paper and the coordinating Painted Harvest Stamp Set. Continue reading
I love to teach and to share and I really love when one of my lovely ladies shares one of her creations with me. The one I am sharing in this, my 500th blog post, was from a class I did back in October and I share it with the full agreement of Kim, who created it.
We have a few more days for the on-line extravaganza – click the picture above and it will take right to the goodies that are on sale – get a start of your Christmas shopping!
When the holiday catalog came out at the beginning of September it was just full of products that I knew I could not do without! I am always attracted to flowers and have to really control myself from choosing those over other designs.
The Petals and Paisleys suite of products is kind of flowery but they aren’t true flowers and I did resist them for a while but I gave in and over the last few days I have shared a number of projects using these products and I have just one more to share.
Frame Art, Samplers…. call them what you will – I just love to design and create these little vignettes out of card, ink and embellishments. This is the fourth in a series I have designed and offered as classes to my lovely ladies.
As today is ThanksgivingI thought I would share this one with you…………………….
Today is the eve of Thanksgiving here in the USA. Until I came to the States just over 15 years ago it was not a holiday I was familiar with, but over the years I have learned the meaning of the day and what it represents.
Falling in the autumn also means using the lovely rich tones that I love so much. Many years ago my mother and I had our colors ‘analysed’ she was deemed to be a ‘Green Autumn’ and I was a ‘Golden Autumn’ ~ so I have used golden autumn colors in my card today. Continue reading
I promised to share the other 2 seasonal themed cards using the same layout, format and masking technique, which came out of musings during my card class earlier this week.
This time we have Autumn and Winter plus a bonus for a Christmas theme!
