I have made no secret of the fact I just LOVE the Gilded Leafing Embellishment, I am on my second pot of it and this is the 4th technique I have shared with you to inspire you to purchase some and try it for yourself – it is fun to use and gives a fantastic finish that will just WOW whoever gets this card.

Creating a frame with Gilded Leafing Embellishment.

Last week I shared an embossing technique using the new and beautiful Gilded Leafing Embellishment, this gives the most fantastic effect but is oh, so easy to do. Today I have another technique using double sided Tear and Tape to create a frame to make your card shine out!

I changed the color combination for the card in my video, just to show how different combinations look. When the Stampin’ UP! Jan – June 2021 Mini Catalog came out in December there was a new product – Gilded Leafing Embellishment, a beautiful pot containing delicate and wispy pieces of a gold colored foil – which was bright and sparkly and I just love bright and sparkly!

I am working on a series of posts and videos sharing various designs and techniques for using this wonderful product – today shows a piece of gilded card which has been dry embossed …… stunning!

When the August – December 2020 Mini Catalog was released one of the first stamp sets I set my heart on was Joyful Holly – I just loved all the ‘curlicues’ which are so graceful and elegant. So understandably I have used it on quite of cards this year, including todays card.

This is quite a simple card, some paper, stamps, ink and a couple of punches, with a little bling of course, you cannot have a Christmas card without some sparkle, can you?

Happy Thanksgiving to all my wonderful readers. As an ex-pat Brit now living in North Texas, Thanksgiving is not a holiday that I was familiar with until we moved here just over 19 years ago. While it is a day for food and football it is also one for quiet reflection, thinking of the things that we are thankful for and I shall be doing just that!

I love little gifts, both giving and receiving them is a thrill! – just a little something wrapped up prettily, given unexpectedly or placed on a holiday or celebration table – just lovely.

When Stampin’ UP! 2020 Aug/December Mini Catalog came out earlier this year it had the Little Treat Dies, perfect for creating and wrapping a little gift. I experimented and found I could get a mini hand sanitizer in one or a couple of those famous chocolate squares! I am sure there are lots of other goodies out there that would fit in as well.
