One Sheet Wonder ~ 6 cards with Gift Box

Welcome back to my corner of the world

While we are all practicing social distancing I have designed a class that you can do in the comfort and safety of your own home.

The One Sheet Wonder is one of my favorite techniques and I have featured them in my stamp camps and getaways and now I am offering you the opportunity to stamp along with me on my latest designs.

Beautiful You Retiform Technique Video Tutorial

Welcome back to my corner of the world

I have a great technique video to share today – the Retiform Technique.  I had no idea what it meant,  added to which  my spell checker doesn’t even recognise it!  So  I checked out the definition of retiform ~ ‘having the form of or resembling a net’ ….. and that is exactly what this technique creates!

I chose to use the Beautiful You Stamp Set because it has nice big images which meant I could show you on a video quickly – but if you make each of the sections smaller you can use smaller images to build up an even more intricate pattern.

Ombre Sponging with Stencils ~ Video Tutorial

Welcome back to my corner of the world

I like to try new things and as I browse through the Stampin’ UP! catalog ‘stuff’ takes my fancy and I will order  ‘it’ to try.  Then to my shame ‘it’ will sometimes just sit there for a while waiting its turn to be used.  The Basic Pattern Decorative Masks are one such thing – it has been sitting there for a while and earlier this week it was their turn to play a starring role in my video today!

When I started to write about this card I realized I had used the same inspirational greeting from the ‘Here’s A Card’ stamp set as my card on Friday – just shows you what a great sentiment it is! My video also shows how you can color ribbon with a Stampin Sponge.

Easter Treat Basket ~ with Video Tutorial

Welcome back to my corner of the world

I have a little treat basket to share today – I had planned it to be one of the projects for my monthly card class this week but I cancelled it due to the social distancing we are all currently practicing because of the  Corona virus pandemic.

Because we are all keeping our distance from one another it means we are spending time at home – so I decided to share it on my blog today with a video in the hope you can spend some time making one or two for yourself.

Twisted Fun Fold Card ~ Video Tutorial

Welcome back to my corner of the world

I do like to make fun fold cards – it stretches my imagination and allows me to make use of all the lovely Stampin’ UP! goodies in my stash.  I have used the Very Versailles stamp set along with the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper.

I think it is so much easier to show you than to explain in words so the Twisted Fun Fold Card I am sharing today has a video as well as a downloadable PDF recipe for you.

Pressed Petals Easel Card with Sticky Notes

Welcome back to my corner of the world

Today’s card is all about my 200th video!  I chose an Easel card fun fold that has a calendar and a pad of sticky notes, so this will sit on your desk for a whole year!

I also used one of the 2020 Sale-a-bration items, the Small Bloom Punch and Here’s a Card Stamp set, that is in the 2020 Mini Catalog as well.  The Pressed Petal Specialty Designer Paper is so very pretty and I have added to the prettines with flowers, leaves, pearls and the very delicate Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.  If you love the fold but don’t want to add the calendar and sticky notes I have included an idea for just making the card.   So enjoy………………………………

Come to Gather Pocket Card

Welcome back to my corner of the world

I hope you all had a peaceful Christmas, we spent some time ‘Face-timing’ with family in the UK with the grandchildren excitedly sharing what Father Christmas (Santa Claus) bought them for Christmas –  technology and the internet is a wonderful thing, especially at this time of year.

Today I have a fun fold to share – I used the Come to Gather Suite of products but change out the greetings and you could have a perfect birthday or thank you card. I have added video to show you how all the pieces go together…… so enjoy!

Perfectly Plaid Magic Slider Card ~ Video Tutorial

Welcome back to my corner of the world

A little bit of Christmas magic for today’s card, a fun fold slider card that reveals its little secret when you pull the tab on the top.  This has a regular card base for writing your message and will fit into a regular envelope, the slider is the embellishment on the front.

I used the Christmas Gleaming and Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Sets, then used Gold Foil and Gold 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon to pick out the gold foil in the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper.  As is often the case with fancy fold cards the supply list is quite long but oh so worth it! 🙂

Wrapped in Plaid Christmas Tags ~ video tutorial

welcome back to my corner of the world

I always forget to buy gift tags,  I have the paper, the adhesive tape and the gift, but no tags!  But I do have the supplies to make them and today I am sharing a video on gift tags you should be able to produce  quickly and easily and look so good on your Christmas parcels.

I chose to use the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper – this is a perfect way to use up some of the scraps I have left over from other projects.  I also found I had not yet used any of the Star Designer Elements from the 2019 Holiday Catalog so these make an appearance as well.
