When I was at the Stampin’ Up convention in July I signed up to join in with an ‘organized swap’
It was for a 3D treat holder and the requirements were that it should hold a treat and be an original design if possible. As I love to make boxes I knew that would be the base of my ‘treat’ but I also wanted to show a technique – after all I was going to be giving my treat to fellow stampers/papercrafters so I wanted it to have a bit of a WOW factor.
The Washi Label Punch was introduced in the new 2015 – 2016 Stampin’ Up! catalog and I find I use it a lot. When I was making my swaps for the recent Stampin’ Up! convention in Salt Lake City, UT, I was using a very small greeting on my card and the full size of the punch was a little overwhelming – so with a little playing around I got it to produce just the size I needed.

I had several of you ask for more details on using this stamp set…….Well I just went back to playing with that stamp set again and just had to make a video to show you how to get the best results.
I realize this is the second consecutive post featuring ‘sweeties’ as we call them in the UK, but I think that since it is Christmas that it is OK to feature them more than once!
I made about 15 of these boxes as a little table favor when a group of girlfriends went out for dinner last week. The good news is I made a video to share with you!
My sweet friend Rose has been making soap and I was lucky enough to be given one of the first bars. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to make a gift box for it and that I would give the ‘recipe’ to her along with a sample so she could make some for future gift-giving.
