Special Reason and Stylish Stems

Today’s post uses one of the bundles from the Occasions Catalog which will be retiring on May 31st – so there is still time to get it!

It was a really overcast and dull day and I had it was one of my rare days off from the tax office.  I needed some brightness and sparkle in my day so headed straight for the glimmer paper – you might need some sunglasses for these ones as they have a lot of sparkliness! (its a word…. honest!)

New Babies –

Last October we got some new neighbors, a delightful young couple who told us they had just found out they were expecting TWINS! …….. and she seemed so calm and collected about it!  They arrived in mid-April ~ a little girl and a little boy.  My grandmother used to refer to this as a ‘pigeon pair’ I had no idea why – so I just looked it up……………… Twins of opposite sex, boy and girl: so called because pigeons lay two eggs which normally hatch a pair of birds, a male and a female……. absolutely fascinating that nature will take care that there are not more ‘hims’ than ‘hers’

In truth, though, every project is a bit special so I take a deep breath and ‘get ‘er done! as they say in this part of the world!

More Bunch of Blossoms ~ Stampin’ Up! products

Earlier this week I shared a couple of cards with the two-step stampin’ technique using the  ‘Bunch of Blossoms’ stamp set.  I have a couple of cards today that uses the same stamp set using  ‘filler’ stamps to give a more subtle ‘watercolor’ effect,  As the stamp set is a photopolymer it is very easy to line up each of the layers – in fact you could even do three layers!  The set also has 5 beautiful sentiments in such a pretty font.  Continue reading
