Continue readingOne of the most stunning set of decorative papers in the 2021 – 2022 Annual Stampin’ UP! catalog is the Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper. It has beautiful neutrals which are the backdrop to silver, gold and copper gilding. Rather than using just one of the designs I looked for a fancy fold card where I could display as many of the different designs as possible and that is the card I share today.
I used the other coordinating products for this paper, the Elegantly Said Stamp Set and Elegant Tag Punch. I also chose to use Basic Gray and Gray Granite Card as a background.

Continue readingAfter the strong, regal colors I used on Friday, today’s card features soft, subtle shades of Soft Seafoam and Soft Succulent. The colors go together beautifully and needed the softness of the Blossoms in Bloom Stamp Set to carry thru the subtleness I was going for.
I have chosen to make this a birthday card but it would be easy to change out the greeting to cover almost any other occasion. 🙂
Continue readingI was looking for a different color combination for my card today, I know I don’t use Mango Melody very much so was determined that would be one of them. Blackberry Bliss is a favorite of mine but I needed something in between these two, so after much thought I chose Mossy Meadow, it gives a nice transition between the other two.
Continue readingI have a few techniques to share with just one card!! The first one is a faux watercolor technique using different ink colors, partial dry embossing where some parts of the card are embossed and others are not and as a finale – how to use your punch to create an alternate size label! It sounds a lot I know – the good news is there is a video to show how they all come together.
Continue readingToday I broke out my Basic Patterns Decorative Masks and Blending Brushes to create a piece of decorative card as a background. I chose the Polka Dot mask with Fresh Freesia ink which I added fairly lightly to keep it delicate.

Continue readingAs a Stampin’ UP! demonstrator I get to see new catalogs and order new products ahead of their issue date, so when I saw the Bamboo Beauty Stamp Set on page 49 of the 2021 Annual Catalog it went on my wish list immediately, I just loved the graceful stems of bamboo and the simplicity of the leaves, plus it has 5 different greetings in the prettiest of fonts.
Today I have just used the leaves and one of the greetings in this simple card, which could be sent as a get well card or maybe for Sympathy or to someone who just needs to know you are thinking of them!
