Sometimes we see a card that we just love, but we may not have those supplies or it may not be for the occasion we need at that time. In today’s video I have created a card layout using it to create a valentine card for one and a birthday card for the second. I have made sure all the measurements are the same and the same tone-on-tone technique used on both.

The 2020 August ~ December Mini Catalog has some really cool halloween themed goodies which today’s card features. Not everyone is into halloween though, so I have also shared a card using the same products but with a birthday theme!
Continue readingToday’s card is such a happy color combination ~ Poppy Parade and Old Olive, coupled with the Daisy Delight Stamp Set.
It is a very simple card but has a lot of impact with the Basic Jewel Rhinestones at the center of each flower.
My apologies for being a day late with my post – it has been a busy week as I had my catalog launch on Thursday with over 20 of my wonderful and supportive customers who came to look at new products, do some make and takes and collect their own precious copy of the new catalog!
Our next new color for 2019 – 2021 is Rococo Rose ~ a gentle pink my sweet ol’ Mum would have called Ashes of Roses. I have paired it with one of the new stamp sets – Woven Heirlooms, one of the first stamp sets on my list when I opened the new catalog! a new coordinating ribbon and the Bird Ballad Trinkets.
This is the second of the new In-Colors and they are all so very pretty – you can get your hands on a set if you would like to join in my ink and color share, where you can build up your collection over the next few months without breaking the bank – click here for more info
I will be so sad when Lemon Lime Twist retires at the end of May – it is such a bright and cheerful color and I found it goes surprisingly well with all sorts of other colors in the Stampin’ Up Color families. Today I have paired it with Melon Mambo and the Graceful Garden Stamp set to create a feminine birthday card.
Continuing my theme of using Designer series paper, here is another card from the shoe box swap, it features one of the designs from the ”Shine on’ Specialty Designer Series Paper, which has colored printing on one side and shiny silver foil designs on the reverse!!…. guess which one I chose to show?
Earlier this week a dear friend celebrated a milestone birthday – since she is a card crafter as well it had to be a special card for her. I did a lot of research and found this design on Dawn Griffith’s website – she made wonderful video to explain how it works and I will put in a link a little further down the page.

Time for another guy birthday card, this one is very straightforward and features decorative paper as the focal point and it cut at an angle to give it a little more interest.

It was my dear Mum’s birthday at the beginning of August, her favorite colors have always been Navy Blue and Cream, so this was the starting point for the card I made for her. As she lives in the UK I needed to ensure that the card would be light enough to mail, without to much bulk from pearls or rhinestones. Those of you who know me also know I love bling on my my cards, this is where glimmer paper comes in very handy!!!
