Beautiful Stampin’ Up Colors

SU Color Chart 2013

While working on a design for upcoming Scrap Camps, I was looking thru all the wonderful colors that are available from Stampin’ Up.  I started working with some of the Brights family  and then my eye was drawn to the Crushed Curry in the Regals family.   Hmmmmmm, now I have to choose!!! I will share the result when I have a made my choices.

Leave me a comment on which of the colors are your favorites – I would love to know!

Have a happy Sunday 🙂

Late Night Stampers Treasure Hunt…. last few days….. my clue…..

hunt logo

The treasure hunt finishes on October 25th, don’t miss out of this great chance for a Stampin Up shopping spree!!!!!!

My clue is: mp adhesive sheet

Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet Can be found on page 174 of the 2013 ~ 2014 Catalog 12 sheets of 12 x 12 adhesive for $14.95 It goes a long way, cut a piece the right size for your project, remove the backing sheet adhere it to you cardstock then remove the second backing sheet to reveal the adhesive. Great for sticking 2 pieces of card stock together for a good solid bond or sprinkling some dazzling diamonds or our new silver/gold or black/orange glitters from the new holiday catalog.

I am working on 2 special handmade gifts: one will go to someone who leaves a comment on my blog one will go to someone who follows my blog

Neighbourhood Card Craftin’

At the beginning of the summer one of our new neighbours started a neighbourhood group on a web-site called Nextdoor.com.  We joined straightaway and went along to a meet and greet.  As always, in get-togethers, we ask ‘what do you do?’ There was a lot of interest when I spoke of my Stampin’ Up and card crafting classes.  So much so that we pulled together a small group of ladies who meet at my house once per month to make cards, home decor and 3D items.  Our October get-together is on the  30th and we will be making this cute little banner which will fit perfectly on a desk or mantel shelf.  Amazing what some ink, stamps and some card stock will do to bring folks together!

September’s Stamp Camp Trio

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
September’s Stamp Camp had three new designs.  The first in traditional colours with a contemporary design (thank you Connie Stewart for the inspiration!)  The second card featured a glitter encrusted tree in delicious Midnight Muse and Soft Sky card and finally the mellow greens of Always Artichoke and Pear Pizzazz with a silver embossed ornament just popping off the card.

October’s Camp brings three more designs, two are complete – the third is still on the drawing board.  October’s camp is on the 18th and 19th ~ you choose the  date that works for you – call me for more details and to reserve your place.

Not able to come to my classes?   ~  contact me about a kit.  Not into card-crafting but love my designs? ~ contact me about buying some completed cards 🙂

August Christmas/Holiday Card Stamp Camp

These were the cards we made in the August Camp.  Each person  made 3 of each card, including decorating the envelopes.  The left hand card features both heat and dry embossing in classic vanilla and gold.  The centre card has the traditional Christmas colours of Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and silver.  I just loved the contemporary colors of Crisp Cantalope and Cake Crumb cardstock in the right hand card.

There is one more Holiday card camp for 2013 on October 18th and 19th.

Shadow Box Card

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
For the August Card Crafting Class I made a shadow box card using ‘By the Tide’ stamp set in blues and other masculine colors (see post from August 16th). I decided to work on a feminine version using the stamp sets Feels Good, Flower Shop and Express Yourself. The card stock is Melon Mambo and Very Vanilla and the inks included Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive.  The fold was courtesy of Connie Stewart and the cutout in the middle was done using the 2 1/2 circle punch and the flowers used the new Pansy Punch. I am thrilled with the result and will send it to my sister-in-law (in the UK) for her birthday later this month.
All the products I used are from Stampin’ Up and are available from my on-line store. Let me know if you would like some instructions – I will be happy to send them if you comment on this post and follow my blog 🙂
