It is about 10 days before Valentine Day – so still plenty of time to make some cards for friends and loved ones and get them into the post!!

Continue readingFor the last 4 – 5 years I have designed and enjoyed making my flip over desk calendar for the ladies who come to my classes. As I have done for the last few years I am going to be sharing one at the start of each month. This was designed for a stamp camp in early December 2023, we had such fun making them and my ladies have made me promise to do another for 2026 ……….. already!
Like last year, I recognize not everyone is into making 3D items so have created a card for each month, using elements from the calendar for that month. .
So today I share, Valentine Hearts – just in time for creating those Valentine projects!

Check out the original scrapbook page I took the pull out section of the page and created this simple fun-fold card which would be perfect for an anniversary, birthday or valentine’s day.

I have chosen to make an 8 x 6 layout today ~ I am continuing to build up my ‘small’ scrapbook, and have done a double page layout for this months hop. I think the smaller size is just a little different ~ not everyone is into the larger pages and a smaller one is just a bit more manageable.

In today’s video I have created a card layout using it to create a valentine card for one and a birthday card for the second. I have made sure all the measurements are the same and the same tone-on-tone technique used on both.

Continue readingI can hardly believe we are in the last full week of January….. already! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so it is time to rustle up some cards to share with friends and loved ones.
My fold today, is one I call a Lazy Z fold – basically because the front of the card is folded back on itself giving a lopsided Z shape, but lop-sided does not sound as good a lazy – so hence its name 🙂
Continue readingWhen I think of valentine cards I tend to think of reds and pinks – to break out of that box I changed out the pink for black in today’s card and it did make a dramatic card, which I think would make a really good card for the fellas in our lives!
