America celebrates its 246th birthday in the coming week. Today I am using the ‘soon to retire’ Sentimental Swirls Stamp Set. I love that big ol’ swirl, so elegant and very useful for filling the card front, I have used it on several posts – see below for some links to them

Continue readingLast week my brother and sister-in-law celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, which is silver! Neither of them are into delicate, dainty or fancy, so after much thought and a stroll thru my stamp sets I decided the Stacked Stone Stamp would make a fantastic background with some elegant leaves from the Artistic Dies.
To bring in the silver theme I heat embossed the Stacked Stone image with Silver Embossing Powder. I did not want to add too much bulk to the card as it has to be posted to the UK, so the heat embossing had a huge impact.
