This time last week I was in Houston, Texas on the eve of Stampin’ Up’s Leadership Conference. I posted a quick picture of my swaps just before I left so I thought I would show a more detailed one and explain a little about how I made them. Continue reading

Blooming with Kindness card for retirement
A friend recently retired from a lifetime of nursing, you cannot let such an occasion pass by without a card being made and sent!
My December Card Class ladies will recognise this design which we made as a thank you card, however the design works for most any occasion.
Blueberry Pie ~ party favors
I always think blue, silver and white as New Year colors ~ not exclusively though, as I also have a Christmas tree decorated with ornaments in those colors.
I wanted to make some party favours for New Year and decided to use an idea of Connie Stewart’s from Simply Simple Stamping to make them in the shape of a slice of pie,and since I was using different shades of blue I have dubbed it ‘blueberry pie’ Continue reading
Thank you cards using Stampin’ Up’s Season of Style DSP
This is the time of the year when lots of thank you cards are needed. Inspired by a post by ‘POOTLES’ I spent yesterday making these using up the remainder of the Season of Style DSP from Stampin’ Up’ I know these are in traditional Christmas colours but as they are thank you’s for Christmas gifts I think they are the perfect colours! Hostess Gifts using Stampin’ Up’s Wood-Mount Cases
This time of year means hostess gifts!! I like to make my own – it adds a personal touch and comes from my heart and I feel, has more meaning to me (and hopefully) the reciepient!
Each contains a covered 2×2 stack of post-it notes, small hand-sanitizer, small gel pen, binder clips and 3 Hung Up Cute Clips.
Inspired by designs from Deb Snyder, I have made a number of these using the half-size wood-mount cases from Stampin’ Up, you get 6 of these for $4.95 (great deal!). Decorated with DSP, ribbon and a little stamping using the Chalk Talk Stamp Set and Framelits.
Merry Christmas & Happy Stamping……

Gift Card Set ~ using Stampin Up’s Afternoon Picnic DSP
Inspired by the set I made by dear friend last week (which she loved!) I decided to make a second one as a hostess gift for the upcoming holidays.
This one uses the same two stamp sets as the one I made last week, Best of Shelli’ and ‘Petite Pairs’ but I used the ‘Afternoon Picnic’ DSP with Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz Cardstock and inks. Pretty pleased with the result!
Petite Pairs is a very versatile stamp set – with sentiments covering most occasions, one for the outside of your card and a complementary sentiment for the inside….. it is one of my ‘go-to’ sets when designing my cards.
Like the recipe for this card set? Simply ‘follow’ my blog, ‘like’ and ‘comment’ on this post and I will be happy to send it to you 🙂
In the meantime, Happy Stamping !

Punch Art 2 ~ Bear
Here is the second in my series of punch art embellishments, this is based on ‘Bertie Bear’ by Pat Carr (an Australian SU designer)
As you can see the Owl punch has come into play again for the body and the little fur tuft on the top of his head. The arms and feet use the ‘wing’ from the Bird Builder Punch.
All the pieces are cut from Crumb Cake and were sponged in ‘Soft Suede’ ink. The nose and tuft were cut from Soft Suede card stock. I used the Chocolate Chip stampin marker to put on his features and cute little toes.
This turned out to be a very versatile embellishment as I used the him for a recent scrap book layout:
….. as well as a card for my recently arrived great-niece, Isla

Another day of Stampin’
Today is my birthday, I will not share which one it is but suffice to say I have had a few of them and this one is not a milestone year!
I spent most of the day preparing for a craft sale this coming Saturday ~ the Bobcats Bazaar at Celina High School in Texas. I really enjoyed making a bunch of these cute snack packs for puppies and NOEL, home decor banner.
