Welcome to my Corner of the World

Home decor is a particular favorite of mine to create. Once I have my theme, I usually start with some Designer Series Paper, then pull out ribbon, embellishments and card that will go with the papers, then I go to work.

I had a request from my ladies for seasonal 8 x 8 samplers they could display, so we started with summer and will continue with the Fall themed one in August. The starting point for me is the beautiful Hydrangea Hill DSP – which is still available for a few more days, so please get your order in now to avoid disappointment 🙂

I always remember my grandmother having hydrangea bushes in her front garden with huge flower heads, I loved them then and love them still. When I came to live in North Texas I planted some in my front garden, although they grew they never really thrived and I never got the big flower heads I remember as a child.

The Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper gives me all the beautiful hydrangea’s I want and I have used it on today’s card. DSP is one of the first things I look at when a new catalog comes out – and I have to admit that over the years I have been a bit of a hoarder. A few years ago I made a promise to myself that I would use more!

I have made no secret of the fact I just LOVE the Gilded Leafing Embellishment, I am on my second pot of it and this is the 4th technique I have shared with you to inspire you to purchase some and try it for yourself – it is fun to use and gives a fantastic finish that will just WOW whoever gets this card.

I have chosen to use the Oval Occasions Bundle for me greeting with the Oval Occasions Stamp Set and coordinating Double Oval Punch. If you scroll on down you will see 2 different color versions just to inspire you a little further 🙂

Ink . Stamp . Share New Year’s Eve Blog Hop

It is the last day of 2020, however you feel about the year I have truly enjoyed ‘hopping’ with a group of wonderful card crafting artisans. Once again,  I am thrilled to be taking part  in the final Ink . Stamp . Share blog hop of 2020. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!®️Demonstrators from around the globe here to bring you inspiration through creativity!

You will have either arrived from  Sue’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME . I always feel sad when December ends, all the sparkles and lights from Christmas will be packed away in a few days. But this year I think I shall be glad for 2020 to be behind us! We also have a new mini catalog to look forward to on January 5th with lots of happy valentine, Easter and summer themed products. Which is the theme of our hop this month.
