I needed cards for three different occasions, “Happy Birthday’, ‘Happy Anniversary’ and ‘Congratulations’ for a new grandchild. I decided the same design would work but using different colors and to change the layout of the ‘card candy’ (a new term I just learned, meaning embellishment!) The stamp set was Stampin Up’s Creative Elements ( and we just heard today this set is being retired and is now only available while stocks last!) see the bottom of this post for a great ‘free shipping’ offer 🙂

Everything Eleanor Hostess Gifts
There is something about Stampin Up’s Everything Eleanor stamp set that draws me back to it time and time again. The images in it are so versatile, I have used it for Christmas, birthday, thank-you, thinking of you cards etc. I spent this morning making some hostess gifts for some friends who have invited us to supper this evening, so Everything Eleanor came out and did its thing!!! Girl Scout Cookie Card
Those of you who have been following my blog regularly will know I love punch art. The Girl Scout cookie season has just come to an end and it reminded me of a project I did for last years’ cookie season. I was asked by a local troupe of Girl Scouts if I would help them work toward getting their ‘Arts and Crafts’ patch and their leader thought it would be a great idea for them to make thank-you cards featuring a cookie…. this is what I came up with….. This is the time of the year when lots of thank you cards are needed. Punch Art 3 ~ Graduation Owl
The third in my series of punch art embellishments is the graduation owl.
We start with the Owl Punch and some Crumb Cake card stock to make the body then Whisper White and Basic Black to make his eyes. The large flower in the Boho Blossom punch was used to cut Crumb Cake ‘wings’ which was then cut in half. Soft Suede ink was sponged onto the body and wings.
The medium flower from the Boho Blossom blossom punch was used to cut the ‘beak’ in Tangarine Tango card stock then trimmed to a single petal which was attached behind the eyes with a glue dot.
The cap was made by using the oval punch to cut Basic Black then cut in half. Then shaped with 1/2 inch circle punch from the Itty Bitty punch pack. The top of the cap started as a 1″ square then trimmed to make the diamond shape before attaching to the base with a stampin dimensional. The tassle was made with Cherry Cobbler bakers twine, then a white gel pen to make the little ‘twinkle’ in his eye.
He was then was used as an embellishment on the scrapbook page.
Happy Punching……………….
