Candy Gift Card Holder ~ video tutorial

Today is the Winter Soltice, the shortest day of the year –  as I write this I am listening to BBC Radio 2 (you can take the girl out of the UK but not the UK out of the girl!) playing The Christmas Song by Stevie Wonder and feeling really festive and to be honest, a little nostalgic as well.

I am sharing a gift card holder today with a little surprise, this was designed for me by my friend, Elly, when she was visiting in October – we had such a wonderful 3 weeks together.

Introducing ~ NEW Cling Stamps

This is an exciting change for Stampin’ Up! and you are going to love the new functionality of the stamps.

Cling stamps have  the same quality rubber stamps you’ve always loved and they now come with highly adhesive image labels. The benefit is that they will cling like crazy to clear blocks so you don’t have to worry about your stamp image shifting or falling off of the block. Cling stamps make stamping easy.

Mini Gift Bag

Christmas is just 14 days away and maybe you are looking for some gift wrapping ideas or maybe a little favor for your holiday table.

This little bag measures just 3 x 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 and it can hold  a bunch of goodies…….. 8 tealights or lots and lots of Hershey’s Nuggets or Kisses, or a couple of bottle of nail polish or a couple of small bottles of hand-sanitizer or possibly a lovely piece of jewelry!

I made one for each of the ladies who came to my November Monthly card class as a thank you for their support and shopping for their Stampin’ UP! supplies with me over the last year.

Perennial Birthday Fancy Fold

I cannot believe it is a month since I was in Orlando Florida at Stampin’ UP!’s annual get-together for demonstators, celebrating our 30th anniversary,  Where did that month go?

One of the traditions of our OnStage event is to make cards and swap with other talented demonstrators – so to give us a little break from Christmas themes I though I would share my swap, the theme being ‘Celebration’.  There is a perfect ‘celebration’ greeting in the Perennial Birthday Stamp set and as I was going to make quite a few cards I used the image stamps to create my own decorative paper.

Winter Woods Christmas

After a beautiful sunny weekend it has turned chilly here in North Texas – we just woke up to 31F this morning.  But we are in December so we cannot complain, Christmas is just around the corner and a little cold weather always makes it seem a bit more ‘Christmassy’ as does putting up the Christmas decorations.  My husband, Brian and I spent one of our sunny days putting the lights up on the outside of the house so that along with the colder weather is really making things Merry and Bright.

Which is the theme of my card today using the Winter Woods Stamp Set along with the coordinating die set In the Woods Framelit Dies, this was one of the projects we made at a recent get-together  with my Stampin’ Mum and Sisters.

Lovely as a Tree meets Dashing Deer

I cannot let this Christmas season go by without an appearance of the perennial favorite Lovely as a Tree Stamp set.  I have been associated with Stampin’ UP! since 2006 and this stamp set was available back then.  I heard a rumour that it was either designed or the brain child of Shelli Gardner’s sister, Vonna, both of whom co-founded the company back in 1988 ( we have spent the last year celebrating the 30 year anniversary) and that because of this it will never retire – who knows the truth of it but it is a lovely story 🙂
