Welcome to the Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop, we are group of international Stampin UP! demonstrators sharing our ideas and creativity with you.
You will have either arrived from Gez’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME. This month are theme is MONOCHROMATIC
Like the last couple of months I have chosen to use a 8 x 6 page, I really enjoyed making that size, sometimes a 12 x 12 page can be a little overwhelming so this size makes a great alternative…………………… plus I was able to use the Basic Black 6 x 8 Album with the coordinating Photo Pocket Pages again.
Continue readingI shared earlier this week that the 1/4 Grey Granite Shimmer Ribbon is a firm favorite – it goes with just about everything. I have also said in the past that my ribbon drawer is often the inspiration for some of my designs, so it goes without saying that my favorite ribbon would start the ball rolling on a card….. and so here it is!
I chose the Forever Fern Bundle, which has the Forever Fern Stamp Set and the Forever Flourishing Dies. If you are looking for an all occasion bundle then this is the one for you – it has the DistINKtive style of stamps which gives your images depths of color by just stamping once!
My favorite card to make is a Thank You one. I have shared on more than one occasion how important I think saying thank you is and having a handmade card to do that is even better!
Today I have paired up the pretty Butterfly Gala Stamp Set with Mango Melody, a very bright and happy color and kept it very simple with a couple of punched butterflies and Gold Metallic Pearls
Once again I am thrilled to be taking part in the Ink . Stamp . Share blog hop, we are a group of Stampin’ Up!®️Demonstrators from around the globe here to bring you inspiration through creativity!
You will have either arrived from Sue’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME . This month’s theme is MONOCHROME. I must admit that when the theme was announced I thought I knew what it meant but needed to check – and this is what I found:
“Monochromatic color schemes are derived from a single base hue and extended using its shades, tones and tints. Tints are achieved by adding white and shades and tones are achieved by adding a darker color, grey or black.”
OK then, first thing first……….. choose a color
I just could not resist it………….. using the Tuscan Vineyard Stamp set with the Merry Merlot ink and card!!!!!! With the exception of a little glint of gold I made this card monocromatic so the images really pop out. I am thinking that this will be one of my sweet and simple cards where I use one stamp set, some card and ink, an embellishment and a couple of tools.
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Merry Merlot Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Very Vanilla Card
Layer 2: 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 Merry Merlot Card
Layer 3: 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 Very Vanilla Card
Banner 4 1/4 x 1 1/4 Merry Merlot and 4 1/4 x 1 Very Vanilla Card
Ink Colors: Merry Merlot
Layer 1 was stamped randomly with the Bunches of Grape Stamp, then attached to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Layers 2 and 3 are popped up on 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals, as it the banner at the base of the card.
A trio of gold metallic pearls and we have a card ready to send. I did not add a greeting to this card, partly because the stamp set does not have any but also I think it would work for any occasion, don’t you?
